LATE SPRING POST ACTIVITY WRAPUP.....

Highlights of activities the past sixty days included the successful annual flagging of the graves at Locustwood Cemetery and increased Poppy sales by spirited and enthusiastic members who took the Memorial Day’s weeklong celebration serious and really pitched in this year. Many thanks to all!…
•  Initializing of the Summer Barbeque Pit and the introduction of “Table 10” the reserved area for our smoking members outside the building to conform to the new State Law banning indoor puffing. Both were well received by the membership…
•  The kickoff—and we hope it won’t be the last—fabulous Spaghetti Dinner, prepared and sponsored by the SAL’s. This was a real treat and a well organized presentation. Fine food for a reasonable $7 bucks with an all-you-can-eat menu of pasta, sausage and excellent meatballs—topped with a mixed Italian salad…Mm.. Mm.. Good!
•  The annual Wildwood State Legion Convention returned as an exciting gathering spot for many or our general members, SAL’s and Auxiliary. Clusters of members circulated throughout the town meeting, visiting and gaining new friends and reuniting with old pals. The parade and the camaraderie were again the high points of the weekend.
