DESCRIPTION:American Legion Post 372 has kicked off the World War II ART CO
 NTEST.\n\nWhat a great opportunity this is for our local youth to show off
  their art and a chance to win a scholarship!\n\nIn addition to a scholars
 hip\, the first place winner will also be painting their mural on the faca
 de of the American Legion Post 372 building. It will be on one of the 6 "M
 ural Walls" on the front of the building.\n\nThe first "Mural Wall" was co
 mpleted last summer by Artist Emily Davidson\, a student at Cherry Hill We
 st High School. As first place winner she painted a stunnning mural repres
 enting World War I\, which depicts soldiers\, white memorial crosses and s
 cenes from the victory parade in New York overlaying a bright red poppy. (

 t to recognize and honor the sacrifices of those that defended our great n
 ation and those that made the ultimate sacrifice.\n\nFor this contest we a
 re asking for artwork of any scene from World War II on a 24 x 36 (landsca
 pe) white poster board. We encourage participants to begin the process of 
 this creative project now. Your finished submission should be given to dir
 ectly to your Art Teacher between March 20-29\, 2024.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\nEnt
 ries are being accepted from students in 9th-12th grade from the following
  schools\; at Cherry Hill West High School\, Cherry Hill East High School\
 , Cherry Hill Alternative High School\, Pennsauken High School\, Camden Ca
 tholic High School\, Haddon Heights High School\, Haddon Township High Sch
 ool\, Bishop Eustace Prep and Paul VI High School.\n\nThe first place winn
 er will receive a $1000 scholarship and will be painting mural on the exte
 rior of American Legion Post 372 facility\, located at 1532 Martin Ave\, C
 herry Hill\, NJ (Directly behind Cherry Hill West High School)\n\nSecond p
 lace winner will receive a $500 scholarship. Third Place winner will recei
