DESCRIPTION:For the 91st year\, NJ American Legion Posts throughout the sta
 te will come together to hold our NJ Legion Statewide Memorial Service and
  Parade that honors all our fallen Legionnaires. Location: Locustwood Ceme
 tery\, Rt 70\, Cherry Hill\, NJ. Followed by complimentary food/social at 
 Post 372.\n\n2:00pm: Legion Parade kicks off\, starting at circle in Locus
 twood Cemetery\, Cherry Hill NJ.\n2:30pmish: Memorial Service begins by th
 e American Legion Section/Flagpole.\n3:30pmish: Food &amp\; Social at Post
  372 (1532 Martin Ave\, Cherry Hill)\n\nWhether you just come to watch and
  go to the Social\, or participate in the parade\, be a part of this great
  tradition!\n\nWe are looking for alot of parade participation from all Po
 st 372 units. More details to follow.\n\nLegion members from other NJ Amer
 ican Legions wishing to participate in the Parade\, contact your Post Comm
 ander for details. Your Post Commander will receive complete details from 
 County/NJ Dept of American Legion.\n\nHISTORY of the NJ American Legion St
 atewide MEMORIAL SERVICE\, Parade and Social\n\nThis long-standing traditi
 on\, dating back to the 1930s\, is a time-honored event that brings togeth
 er Legionnaires and their families from all across New Jersey.\n\nLocustwo
 od Memorial Park: A Sacred Space for Veterans\nBack in the 1930’s\, Locu
 stwood Memorial Park generously donated a graves/section to the NJ America
 n Legion\, specifically for Legionnaires and their families. This sacred s
 pace is located near the Legion memorial and flagstaff\, making it the onl
 y official American Legion burial ground in the state of New Jersey.\n\nHo
 noring Our Departed Comrades\nEvery year\, NJ American Legion Posts throug
 hout the state come together to hold a Memorial Service that honors all ou
 r fallen Legionnaires. This service takes place on the Sunday after Memori
 al Day and is not just a post or county observance\, but the official Memo
 rial Day service of the Department of New Jersey.\n\nThis is a great oppor
 tunity to meet and mingle with members and officers from all our NJ Americ
 an Legions. Share news\, events\, and stories with your fellow comrades as
  we come together to honor and remember those who have served our country 
 with bravery and dedication.\n\n
