Vincent Joseph Calano of Cherry Hill, NJ, died May 4, 2014, age 91. Born Innocenzio Peter Calano on April
25, 1923 in Middletown, CT to the late Thomaso and Saverina (nee Sylvia) Calano. Beloved husband of the
late Mary (Maria Lopopolo) Calano. Loving father of Sandra Kraft (Timothy) of Cherry Hill, NJ. Dear brother
of Thomas Jr., James, Mary Teresa, Delores and the late Lenora and Beverly. Devoted grandfather of Sherry
Bosserman (George) of Red Lion, PA, step-grandfather of Colleen Weisfeld (Norman) of Ellicott City, MD
and MCPON Michael Kraft (Christine) of Hawaii. Great grandfather of Sarah Bosserman, Bradley and
Sydney Weisfeld, Nathan, Jonathan and Elizabeth Kraft. He was especially proud of his great granddaughter
and her nursing career and his step-grandson Michael’s Naval accomplishments and advancement in the
military. ~PLEASE SCROLL DOWN~ Vincent graduated from Middletown High School and enlisted in the
US Army in 1942. He was assigned to the US Army Corps of Engineers stationed in Lancaster, PA. He saw
action during World War II in England, Belgium, France and Germany. He received the Silver Star. He was a
charter member of Red Lion American Legion Post #543; a current member of American Legion Post #371
and a lifetime member of VFW Post 2445. He was the owner and operator of Hi-Fly Hobbies for over 20
years in Marlton, and later in Cherry Hill, NJ. He was a member of several R/C Airplane Clubs over the years
and in the 1990’s played in various pool leagues. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing
Thursday morning 9 to 11am in the Schetter Funeral Home 304 W. Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 300 S. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers contributions in
