We called him James. We were together at Ft. Campbell then went to VN with the 4th Bat. It was amazing how in those turbulent years that none of us saw color. We were all kids from all parts of the country that joined together who lived and died as only brothers. I remember how, after the fighting subsided, I cried with the other squad boys for James, Mike & Sgt. Andy. It was always hard to watch our friends die, but three in a matter of minutes was overwhelming. I think of each of them often. See you someday, peace.
